Drying Wet Carpeting

This is an example of how SERVPRO of West Brown County's technicians will dry carpeted rooms that are affected by a water loss. The photos show a flooded basement in the Green Bay area. In the before shot you can see the carpeting is very wet, it's darker in certain areas than others and there is a distinct water outline. In the after picture you can see our techs have set up the process that is called "floating" the carpeting. They lift the carpet, remove the padding underneath and position fans under and around the carpet to effectively dry it out.
